Richard Kohler is a music educator, producer and conductor with
a distinguished career spanning nearly forty years. His understanding
of dedicated outreach in an urban environment is the result
of professional positions at major universities. These experiences
include music facility construction projects and fund-raising
efforts necessary for successful completion.
In
addition, Dr. Koehler has produced and/or created musical events
and festivals in this country and abroad. He has initiated collaborations
and other arts organizations and is a specialist in institutional
evaluations. The Atlanta Journal/Constitution identified Dr.
Koehler as a "cultural bridge-builder." In 1998, he
received the coveted Atlanta Abby Award as the Arts Professional
